Aptiv Ambassadors take La Crosse

Participants are spreading the word of the re-branding

La Crosse, WI, February 27th, 2018 - “What is the only lion that doesn’t roar?” “A dandelion.”

Last Friday’s morning announcements were given by the Coffee News and Brews group, with the joke courtesy of the “Mike’s Media” segment. On Tuesday mornings the Coffee Cruisers group will cruise over to local coffee shops to give out pens, business cards and homemade key chains made by the Homemade Gifts group. All together, the three make up the Aptiv Ambassadors of La Crosse.

This Tuesday was the first Coffee Cruisers trip, with their stop at JavaVino. The group sat and enjoyed coffee, caramel lattes, hot chocolate, and smoothies while visiting with each other. The Cruisers gave key chains and pens to the barista.

The mission of the Ambassadors is to promote and spread awareness of the re-branding. But it also gives participants a chance to practice social skills and increase communication skills and confidence. Participants also get to put themselves out there and try new things such as talking on the intercom and explaining the re-branding to community members.

There are five participants and two staff in the Coffee Cruisers, seven to ten participants, one staff and two interns in Handmade Gifts, and Coffee News and Brews has four participants and two interns.

The Aptiv Ambassadors are a new group, beginning January with the re-branding, and continuing to evolve.
