LaVerne takes the Runway

La Crosse, WI, April 6th, 2018

An Aptiv participant will be making his runway debut this weekend at Project Runway, an annual fashion show hosted by the UW-La Crosse Student Occupational Therapy Association and volunteering stores at Valley View Mall. The show gives people of all abilities a chance to work it on the runway.

Aptiv participant LaVerne decided he wanted to participate, and with some excitement and an outfit from Herberger’s, he will do just that on Sunday.

LaVerne loves to make people laugh and smile, and by participating in Project Funway, he knew he could do just that. He plans to meet a lot of new people and socialize, a love of his.

All people participating received fashion from Hollister, Victoria's Secret, Herberger's, TradeHome Shoes, Maurices. ProImage Sports and Payless Shoes to wear on the runway.

Project Funway aims to show that all people can have fun with fashion and to break down the barriers between people with and without disabilities.
