Fight Night Fundraiser
La Crosse, WI, March 16th, 2018 - He began wrestling at the age of four and MMA fighting at 16, which has paved the way for a fight in April where he will be donating his earnings to Aptiv.
Lloyd McKinney, a Representative Payee at Aptiv, is competing in the 3 River Throwdown Fight Night on April 28 in the La Crescent Community Arena. He will be donating his commission from the fight to Aptiv’s Game On! event that is April 27.
“I have such gratitude for Aptiv for helping me peruse my personal aspirations as well as represent this agency,” McKinney said.
This is the first time he will be donating this amount of money, and he hopes to perform well at the Throwdown and go to the UFC in Chicago and continue donating his earnings.
McKinney started his journey at Aptiv at a career fair, where he put in an application for an internship. March 13 marked his one year at Aptiv.
“I would say Aptiv chose me, not I chose Aptiv,” McKinney said.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and fights start at 6 p.m. Get your tickets at cagetix.com. And don’t forget to pick up your Game On! tickets at www.aptiv.org/game-on.
