What is Project SEARCH?

Project SEARCH is a business led collaboration to help young adults with disabilities gain and maintain employment through training and career exploration.

Students with disabilities are able to opt for a workforce alternative in their last year of high school, or young adults who have completed high school may be eligible for Project SEARCH. Project SEARCH is a 9-12 month long program, providing total immersion in a large community business. Each day, students report to the business, learn employability skills in the classroom and job skills through their rotating internships. Each student goes through 3-4 rotations of internships. Students and their teams meet monthly for progress reports and to continue defining their career goals.
