mentoring services for early years 3-13
Looking for mentoring services for your child with disabilities?
The goal of Aptiv's mentoring program, for children ages 3-13, is to help children with disabilities achieve their full potential for personal development so they may live more independent lives. Aptiv’s mentoring program features a structured and trusting relationship that brings children together with caring and committed Aptiv staff who offer guidance and encouragement aimed at supporting the character and development of youth.
Mentors provide support to improve a child's ability to interact in the community in socially appropriate ways by practicing, modeling, guiding, and shadowing the child in the community.
The programming may also provide education and skill development or training to improve a child's ability to perform routine daily activities and utilize community resources.
