Range of Motion

range of motion for early years 3-13

Looking for an exercise program to help your child improve strength, endurance, and range of motion?

Aptiv's Range of Motion program helps children with disabilities improve strength, endurance, and range of motion. Each person has a customized program based on the recommendations from an occupational or physical therapist to help them meet their health and wellness goals.

What happens in Range of Motion?

Aptiv’s Range of Motion program is a 1:1 service that carries out recommended exercises as outlined by an individual’s physical or occupational therapist.

Meet your goals

Your child's ROM exercise routine will target their individual goals and their progress will be tracked each session. Documentation varies depending on guidelines from your child’s physical or occupational therapist. Common measurements of progress include:

  • Tolerance

  • Increased mobility

Activities include...

  • Walking

How do I get started?

First Steps

We would love the opportunity to talk with you about your questions and needs.

  1. Contact Aptiv today for an informational, no-cost, no-obligation discussion to determine options for participation*.

  2. Aptiv meets with the individual and their support network to develop an individualized plan and provide services as outlined in that plan.

  3. Your child’s personalized program starts with an assessment by an occupational or physical therapist. Using the results of their assessment, the therapist will develop a personalized exercise routine for your child’s ROM program.

  4. The routine can incorporate Aptiv equipment, personal equipment, or any combination that fits your child’s needs. You and your child, therapist, and care management team collaborate to determine how the individualized routine will be implemented. Sessions vary in length based on your child’s goals.

  5. Your child’s therapist will train Aptiv key staff who ensure effective delivery of the ROM program. No matter the type of activity or level of ability, Aptiv supports individuals reaching for their goals.

*If a family is eligible for funding through the state and county they will be assessed by a county social worker and can request to be referred to Aptiv for services.
