Community Supported Living

community supported living for teen and transition students ages 14-21

Are you looking for customized, flexible support to allow teen and transition students with disabilities ages 14-21 to live in their own home?

Aptiv’s Community Supported Living Program (CSL) provides customized, flexible support to individuals who require assistance to live as independently as possible. On-call staff is available 24/7 to offer support, when and where you need it. Aptiv’s CSL offers varying levels of supervision to meet the needs of our participants in their own home, apartment setting, or anywhere they are living where they might benefit from these services.

What is a Community Supported Living program?

Community Supported Living individuals live independently in their own home or apartment through a variety of support services.

The services may include:

  • Assistance finding and managing a home to meet the participant’s needs

  • Support to encourage and foster community inclusion

  • Assistance and education to support problem-solving skills

  • Budget assistance

  • Medical appointment scheduling and attendance

  • Cooking and related household shopping

  • Other needs as identified

Aptiv’s CSL not only provides basic living services to its consumers but also strives to learn about them on a personal level. We ask our consumers to picture their ideal life and then help them to accomplish those goals while living with assistance from CSL.

Support us

It’s because of gifts to the Aptiv Foundation that children and adults with disabilities are reaching their goals.  It is only through the vision and generosity of contributions to the Aptiv Foundation that it becomes possible to provide the level of support each person needs and deserves. Every dollar donated goes to funding facility improvements, program equipment, and other tools to help people with disabilities live, learn and work in our communities.
