Daily Living Skills Training

daily living skills training for teens and transition students 14-25

Does your teen or transition age student with disabilities need help with developing life skills?

Aptiv’s daily living/life skills program is an educational and skill development program with individualized training to improve a teen or transition age student's abilities to independently perform routine daily activities and effectively use community resources. The activities are hands-on instructional and focused on skill development.

This program allows a teen or transition age student to learn a specific skill set. Teens and transition age students in this program are encouraged to participate in the skill trying to be obtained as independently as they are willing and capable. The purpose of the program is to eventually have the teen or transition age student be able to complete the task on their own. This requires staff to teach the teen or transition age student the skill and fade support gradually until the teen or transition age student is able to do the task on their own.
